Nanangenine A
Application Notes
The nanangenines are newly discovered drimane sesquiterpenoid metabolites from a hitherto undescribed Australian fungus, Aspergillus nanangensis. Nanangenine A is a trihydroxylated drimane lactone which was inactive in assays for antibiotic, cytotoxic, herbicidal and antifungal activity, suggesting that acylation at 6-OH is important for biological activity.
